How To Decorate Your Home For The Festive Season

The festive season is here again! Joy, cold and dust is in the air and everyone is excited. One of the key things I enjoy about the festivity is the decorations. In this part of the world, a lot of people are not big on decorating for Christmas, but some of us are. So, for those of us that love decorating for the season, here are a few tips on how you can decorate your home/apartment for the festive seasons without breaking the bank and all by yourself.

1. Hand Made Cards

I feel if you must send card to anyone, the card should have a touch of closeness. It must depict the closeness of the relationship between you and the person. The most accurate way to get that done is by making the cards yourself. Also, handmade cards are very colourful when put on display in the home. Not to mention how cheap they are.

2. Flowers

Flowers are known to beautify and emit nice scents. These are also tools to beautify your home this season. Having different flowers in strategic places in your home is assured to add to the aesthetics of your home. Also, you can have your home-grown flowers to save money or just plastic ones.

3. Coloured Lights

I think it is safe to say this is one of the most popular form of decoration in this part of the world. Coloured lights beautify your space in the dark and it depicts festivity and fun. You can also have your coloured lights in different shapes and sizes. They are also very cheap.

4. Pictures

Having pictures on display can also beautify your home. Pictures of the family taken at different times during the year can be a delight because each picture will have a touch of memory attached to it. This will literally cost you nothing but printing paper.

5. Decorate the windows

Windows tends to be overlooked most times, but it shouldn’t. A window should be decorated as well, although it might be mildly decorated. Drapes and lights might do just fine.
